Hazards of Large City NBC [Nuclear] Shelters

In large cities, NBC shelters are placed under tall buildings. In cases of direct hit onto the building; or within 0.25 mile of the building, the building will collapse. After collapse, the people inside of the shelters will be buried under the building for; at the least, 2-3 months to dig the people back out. These type of shelters are NOT recommended for protection; except in cases where fallout is very heavy. The extra cover will assist in shielding from radiation.
